Windows Mobile 6 Task Filter

I am running Mobile 6 on a Dopod D810 and I can't get the active filter to
work within tasks. It should filter out any tasks that have a future date
associated with it, but instead just shows all items in my task list
irrespective of date.
Any suggestions as to how to make filter work?
