windows shutdown loosing 7 hours work

Can someone please help. I tried to save a document onto my memory stick when
a messege came up stating something or other. I clicked it thinking the
memory stick was full and was prepared to save on the harddrie (which I
should have done hours ago).. Now when I look fr the saves work it is gone
theonly thing that appears is a TMP file which when I try to open states the
file is missing. I hve looed through all the help files on word but still no
show. I have tried openin the file to edit. I have tried file recovery which
brings up work from this morning (or yesterday morning now)! I am emotional
and frustrated at my computer. Please someone help and dont tell me its gone
cause the memory stick was expensive and should be here! aaaargh

You should never use Word saving, opening or editing directly with a memory
stick or any other removable media. It is the number one way to corrupt
and/or lose documents. Always work with your local HDD and copy to/from the
removable media.
