I have a Windows 2000 terminal server - and had some problems with an access
database giving errors about exceed maximum file handles. I increased some
number in the registry to no avail. It was suggested that taking the OS from
Win 2K Sp3 to SP4 may resolve this issue.
When I upgraded the server from SP3 to SP4 - all admin users suddnly cannot
use the Access runtime getting an error that suggests re-installing the
Access Runtimes. If I promote a user into the administartor group - the
runtime believes its installed and working.
I have checked all the priveledges etc and is not tha cause of the problem.
Has anyone seen this previously - I suspect the Access runtime are hitting
either a file with an priv problem (but not in the runtime main path) - or a
registry key with similar security changes in SP4.
Any help would be appreciated.
cheers
