Windows to Mac Excel Help!

couple of simple questions that i can't
find the answers to. must be a little dense.

OFFICE v.X

how can i change the columns from numeric to alpha
as in windows land?

how do you edit a cell? (used to use F2 in windows)

the excel help displays formals and functions in the
windows way that i know.
ie: a1-b1=?

THIS R1A1-R1B1 CRAP IS FOR THE BIRDS!
CAN IT BE CHANGED TO WINDOWS FORMAT?

any help would be really appreciated.

Excel > Preferences > General > and uncheck "R1C1 reference style"

As far as I know, you can either...

1) double-click on the cell

OR

2) click on the cell and make the changes in the formula bar
