Windows Update & Office 2007

I've got Office 2007 Beta running. I keep getting messages to install
updates for Office 2003. The one time I did it (an Outlook update) it
totally corrupted the Beta version and I had to uninstall both versions and
then re-install them. Was that a fluke? Live One Care is giving me nasty
messages to automatically install updates instead of just downloading them.
Should I be installing Office 2003 updates any more?

Any chance you have Outlook 2007 and 2003 installed? If you do, remove
OUTLOOK 2003 and then repair Office 2007.

I have them both installed because that's what the Microsoft help desk told
me to do. They said Office 2007 is a "build" on top of 2003. Thanks, I'll
try it.
