windows update won't download

this is not just about updating office tools. I cannot download security
patches, vulnerability solutions, nothing. I emailed to Microsoft Support
which says support help is free with update download issues, so they know
something is happening.

I think this is the worst that Bill Gates has done to date, because now we
not only crash but get attacked with viruses that kill our equipment. And
Microsoft has the nerve to say they don't handle virus problems. Well now I
can't get updates to patch the holes in their system. My firewall and virus
protector can only do so much.

So, did anyone ever figure out how to fix windows update (not automatic).
