Windows update

For some unknown reason, I cannot update Windows. I have done all the suggested remedies with no results. I get error # 0x800C0008. Time on computer is correct. Language selected is English. I deleted cache and cookies. Server certificate revocation is unselected. Computer is rebooted. ARRGG. Now what? Any suggestions?? I am grateful for any help. Thanks,
