Windows users cannot view my excel spreadsheets

When I email my mac excel files to Windows users running Office 2003,
they open and display gibberish. What do I need to do to make them
compatible?

I can't help until You tell me what you are doing. Which version of Mac
Excel? What is the Excel file extension, if any? How are you sending it? How
are the windows users opening the file?

There is NOTHING inherently incompatible between Windows and Mac Excel in
this regard. I send and receive Excel files to and from windows users daily
for years, and have never had a problem.
