Windows Vista + Word 97 = Windows Vista

I have Office 97 Professional, running on Windows Vista Home Premium and am
printing to a HP PSC 2355 All-In-One printer. While other programs, e.g.
WordPad, print fine, Word 97 is not able to print. As soon as I try to
print the current document, the Word 97 application disappears from the
screen and even from Task Manager. I tried reinstalling Office, but it
didn't help.

Is there any way to get Word97, running on Windows Vista, to print? Thanks.

It is a problem with the printer driver. I have seen reported that using a
different HP printer driver should resolve the issue until HP provides an
updated driver.
