I'm realy pissed off with Microsoft. I've a new PC - well it's a year old
this month and supposed to be top of the range with Dell - an XPS - but I
find I can't use most of my software as it's not compatable with the
system. The most anoying thing is that no-one tells you this when you buy a
new PC and of course one doesn't think of asking this question or even
contemplating that software you've got won't work.
I've had to buy a new printer, as my Epson CX3200, which I realy like will
not work in Vista although I've downloaded all the drivers I can find for the
printer. Microsoft knows what they're doing but we, the consumer has to fit
the bill by having to buy new programs because a lot of what we have and
which worked in XP will not work in Vista. I had the same problem when
upgrading from Windows ME to XP Pro and what a dredfull system ME was-forever
crashing. The thing I don't understand is that some older programs will run
but not all and some newer ones will run but again not all. I would like to
know from Microsft if I can change my Vista Premium for XP Pro as I can ill
afford to replace all my software or will they compensate me for my loss.
Apart from this, in general, I do not like Vista at all.Give me XP Pro any
day - less trouble, nice system. When I get a new PC it will be an Apple
Mac....
