windows will not recognise product key after repairs

after repairs that obviously involved uninstalling programmes, windows word
will not recognise the product key on the underside of the lap top

The product key on the underside of your lap top will be that for the
operating system, not for Microsoft Office of which Word is a part.

If the Office software came pre-installed on your lap top, you should have
received a document of some sort (maybe a CD Envelope) that has on it a
yellow sticker bearing the Product Key.
