Windows Word?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) I just got a Mac Pro the other day.

Is there anyway to make Word look like the Word for Windows?

And how can I add spellcheck and paragraph format and other things to the display over the page? Like where the save and open buttons are?

Thanks!

Well, as you have now discovered, the user interface on a Mac is subtly
different to that on the PC. So Microsoft Office applications on the Mac
are adjusted to work with the Macintosh Operating System's user interface.

What you are seeing was designed to look as much as possible like Word 2003
with a Mac UI.

If you buy the next version of Mac Office, that's adjusted to look as much
as possible like Word 2010, while keeping the Mac UI.

If you right-click the toolbar in Word 2008, you will be offered a
"Customise Toolbars and Menus" command that will enable you to add/remove
commands to your heart's content.

Note that in Mac Word, by Mac convention, only the Standard toolbar is shown
in Word. If you also want the Formatting toolbar, use View>Toolbars to turn
it on.

Hope this helps
