Windows XP Logon screen & Mails unread notification

Hello,

When you startup Windows XP the login screen (if you've got the 'Fast User
Switching' Service running) shows the number of emails unread. From where
does it get this information ? (Is there an associated registry setting)

Regards

This is what I came across when I had issues with it. I saved it as a note
for future reference.

Unread Messages Problem

Alternatively, you can use the registry to reset the unread-email counter by
performing the following steps: 1. Start a registry editor (e.g.,
regedit.exe). 2. Navigate to the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail\<email
address> subkey.
3. Double-click Message Count, set the value to 0, then click OK.
4. Close the registry editor.
