windows xp pro and office

Hi, I need to install office xp or 2003 (Japanese) for some users. They are
using xp pro (English). I am given a suggestion to install office xp pro
(English) then install the multi-language cd over the office xp pro. Will
the multi-language thing change the menu bars and all to Japanese or will
they still be in English?

the users need office to be in Japanese, the os can be in English or
Japanese (of course, they will prefer Japanese). But currently, as we do not
have enough win xp pro(jap) licenses, the pc have been installed with win xp
pro(eng).

Can someone suggest if we should get the multi-language cd or do we have to
get the Japanese office?

i'm having some problems with installation. the box of office xp small
business ed. says that power point is on the disk but when i try to install,
power point is not listed as a program to install. it's nowhere to be found.
we installed this already on our previous computer and power point was there
but for some reason it's not working on our new computer.

2) That notwithstanding, you may *NOT* install Office XP Small Business
Edition on your new computer - it is OEM and, as such is tied forever to
your old system and may *NOT* be installed on any other.

The OEM limitations are as follows: -

- Tied to original hardware
- Vendor-only support
- Non-transferable (unless original hardware is also transferred).

3) "The box of office xp small business ed. says that power point is on

Really?! If that's the case, then you should advertise your old computer on
eBay - and I'd love to see a scan of that box! - you'd make enough to
retire! Office XP SBE does *NOT* contain PowerPoint - never has. You may
have had PowerPoint on your old system, but it was nothing whatsoever to do
with the SBE.
