this problem was caused by Win Sec Update
KB908531. I removed and the problem went away.
Go to Add/Remove Programs, check the box (at the top) for Show Updates, then
go to the Win Updates and remove KB908531.
Hope this helps.

Removing the update is not the permanent solution as Automatic Updates
will download and install it again. Have you tried the Registry hack?
This is how you do:

Option 1 - Modify the registry
------------------------------

- (If you have multiple user accounts set up) Log onto the computer
using an
account with Administrator privileges

- Click the Start button, then click Run and type "regedit" at the
prompt,
without the quotes; this will start Registry Editor

- Locate the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell
Extensions\Cached key in Registry Editor

- Right click on the key and select New / DWORD Value

- Rename the resulting value "{A4DF5659-0801-4A60-9607-1C48695EFDA9}
{000214E6-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} 0x401", without the quotes

- Right click the value, select Modify, and type "1" into the Value Data
field

- Close Registry Editor

Hi, sorry to bother you again, I have the same problem, maybe the system made
an update by itself, besides I'm sending you what you told me, but I need to
tell you there is a line before the insert data I wrote last nigt, and says
as a follow:
Below NAME there is a DEFAULT, below TYPE there is a REG_SZ, below data
there is the following {A4DF5659-0801-4A60-9607-1C48695EFDA9}
{000214E6-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} 0x401.
Do I have to delete this, If you answer is yes how I save this information
for the future?
Thanks agan for your time and effort

Armando,

You don't delete anything. When you locate the registry key, you will
find an item called Cached. Right Click on it and select NEW. then
select DWORD. (see the picture here:
http://www.geocities.com/xfsgpr/registry.gif )

You are now ready to copy and paste the registry key given in that
article.

When you have done it, You then right-click on it again (on the new key
itself) and select MODIFY. You are now ready to change the 0 to 1.

When you have done it, close the registry editor.

You can then either reboot the system or kill off the processes
VERCLSID.EXE (and hpgs2wnd.exe and hpgs2wnf.exe). to kill them off, do:

CTRL+ALT+DEL and select processes tab. you will be able to see some of
the processes listed above.

Hi Hth.
I did it what you told me I place the third line with the numbers you told
me
{A4DF5659-0801-4A60-9607-1C48695EFDA9}
{000214E6-0000-0000-C000-000000000046} 0x401
, but the second line starts with {750FDF0E-2A26-11D1-A3EA-080036587F03}-{
I was not able to do it.
the two file hpgs2wnd.exe and hpgs2wnf.exe in the task manager I did end
process
The file KB908531 do I have to reeinstall?
Thanks for your time and effort

Yes you need to re-install that update if you initially uninstalled it.
the easiest way is to launch IE, then Tools, Windows Update.
