Windows XP should allow me to read power point files sent in ema.

I receive many emails with pps files attached (power point) that I can not
read because I do not have Windows Office. Why can I not read these files
with Windows XP?

Because PPT presentations are meant to be opened with PPT? There is a
PowerPoint viewer available (see
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...27-43AB-4F24-90B7-A94784AF71A4&displaylang=en).
But why are you asking this question in a Word NG?

Note that there is no such product as Windows Office. PowerPoint is part of
some versions of Microsoft Office. No version of Office is included in any
version of Windows.
