Windows XP-SP2 does not go to standby with OneNote 2007 active

Hello,
Can anyone help me with this problem?

I use Windows XP/SP2 and adjusted it to go to standby after 15 minutes of
being idle. Luckly it does what it is supposed to do, with all local
applications I use active, except for OneNote 2007 (SP1)! With it activated,
Windows stays on forever and does not go to standby.

Looking at Tools/ Options in OneNote, I do not recognize options switched on
that keep the system up and does not allow it to go idle and then to standby
afetr 15 minutes.

Are any solutions available what to do to to allow Windows to go to standby
with OneNote 2007 on?

Offhand I'd guess that OneNote is indexing content. Do you have a lot of
audio files in OneNote by chance? How long have you had OneNote 2007
installed?

Yes, I do have recorded audio files (*.WMA). My OneNote 2007 has the version
(SP1 MSO) and I have it since less than one year now.

If you don't need those audio files indexed you might try turning off that
feature. Tools | Options | Audio and Video....

Do you get a message to End Task on onenote when PC is trying to go into
standby?

If not, then I don't think it's a software problem.

The leading cause of standby/hibernation issues is a driver that doesn't
support it. A secondary cause is a driver that is corrupted or possibly in
use (badly written driver?)

If the problem is associated with audio files then perhaps you need to
update your audio driver. Do you have any hardware connected to any ports
that may not support standby/hibernation, for instance an older device like
scanner, camera, drive, printer, etc?
