Windows XP too old

I'm trying to reinstall Office 2007 on a Sony Vaio after a reinstallation of
original Windows XP. I keep getting an error reading saying my version of
windows is too old.

Perhaps you havent either updated your new installation of windows, via MS
update, to the latest sp, nor installed your Sony hardware drivers from
supplied disks

Are you uing Windows XP SP2 on that system? Or did you forget to download
that?

Thanks for that info. I am trying to install SP2 and it keeps failing. I have
installed critical updates. Could that be stopping me?

Are you uing Windows XP SP2 on that system? Or did you forget to download
that?

Yes. You *must* have SP2 installed to run Office 2007 on an XP system.
