When I send an attachment composing using HTML format and Microsoft
Word 2003 as the editor, the attachment received by a non-Outlook
recipient is winmail.dat. If I switch to composing plain text using
Word, and I send an attachment, the recipient not using Outlook
receives the message properly. How can I send HTML e-mail with
attachments so that recipients do not receive a winmail.dat file which
is generated by Outlook when sending rich text format e-mails (RTF)?
This appears to be a bug. Is anyone else having the same problem as
me?
My version of Outlook 2003 is fully updated with service pack 1.
Thank you for your help.
