winmail.dat / Rules Wizard / Sent Folder

W

Wes Z

In Outlook 2002 SP3, I am using an IMAP server for e-mail,
and I want to store sent messages to a specific folder. I
used the Rules Wizard to create the following rule:
Apply this rule after I send the message
move a copy to the sent folder

When I send a message with an attachment in plain text
format, the recepient gets the message in plain text
format. The copy stored in my sent folder, however, has an
additional attachment, winmail.dat. How can I prevent the
copy in my sent folder from being altered this way?

I only have this problem when I send messages with
attachments. The attachments can be of any file type.
Thank you.
