Winmail.dat

I receive from a particular person winmail.dat files. I can resend this
email to myself and receive as original file sent. I am using Outlook 2007
and not sure what email client the sender is using. I am curious as to why I
can forward to myself and receive fine.

Obviously there doesn't seem to be an answer to this one. I was hoping to
get some feedback as to other than what has been stated for sender to send in
plain text or html or to use a decoder to read file, why I can forward to
myself and receive .pdf file fine. Seems more like a glitch other than what
has been stated in other posts.
