WinWord 2000 menu bars are missing. How do I get them back?

Richard

I have MSOffice 2000 and also a 2002 version of Word on the computer. When I
open WinWord 2000 by shortcut or when I am using Excel or Access and then
open WinWord, the program opens with only the doc screen and no menu bars
(File, Edit, etc) visable and nothing works to show them. This has only
started since I got the new computer with WinXP and the 2002 Word. I have
reinstalled Office 2000 and nothing changes. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you muchly, "garfield-n-odie [MVP]". That did the trick.

Since I wrote that I have another problem with the links in Access Help.
Perhaps you can help with that as well.

When I click on a link in the Help box, I get this message:

"VBScript: Microsoft Office Help
Help can't show you this procedure because the security setting in your
browser is set too high or the ActiveX control Ouactrl.ocx didn't install
correctly. Etc."

This only happens in Access, while Help in Excel works fine. Any suggestions?

Again, thanks for your good and speedy help.

Thanks "garfield-n-odie [MVP]". While the article did not help me get access
to the links information, it did direct me to a page
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/262767/EN-US/
that tells me why that feature is shut off. Not much of a repair to a
security vulnerability is it? Another "solution" to the problem like this
would be to turn off the computer. Not exactly my idea of a repair, but
perhaps something that Garfield would approve of?
Anyway, thanks muchly for your time and help
