Winword caused an error in itss.dll

Hi,

I have Word 2000 SR1 installed as part of Works Suite 2001
(I'm running Windows ME). It's been working fine until
recently, when every time we try to insert a Clipart
picture via Insert\Picture\Clip Collection, and the
clipart is on Disc 2 (the Microsoft Works Clipart disc of
Works Suite 2001), Word crashes with the error above.

I've tried repairing and uninstalling and reinstalling
Word, but the problem is still there. Not sure if it's
related, but the Insert\Picture menu has two "Clip
Collection" entries, where previously it only had one (the
Tools menu has about 10 Mail Merge... entries as well).

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I don't know about the other problems, but the excess menu entries result
from having the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word installed. If you're
running Word freestanding, you don't need (or want) this add-in, which
causes many other problems. Uninstall it through Control Panel | Add/Remove
Programs.

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for the reply - I think I've worked out the
problem, with a bit of help from the Knowledge Base.
Solution was to clean the CD - this solved the problem!!

On the Microsoft Works Suite Add-in for Word front, will
uninstalling this add-in preclude access to the Works
clipart coolection? This is what we use the most in the
Works Suite, so wouldn't want to lose the access to it.

Thanks, Dave Patrick.
