OS: Win2k SP 3
Issue occurs with 3 files on multiple systems (all same image build)
Office: Office 2k SP3,
Multi Language pack for Office 2k installed (Portuguese and Spanish installed)
Symantic Anti-Virus installed (dat files up to date)
Error:"WINWORD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows."
Error occurs when changes are attempted, at times when document is open w/no
activity, sometimes just opening the document will cause the
error/crash...IE: at random times.
No information sent to OS log files.
Things tried:
- Document ran though Cimaware OfficeFIX 4
- File sent to Cimaware (no corruption found by them)
- Rebuild pc's
- Removed/reinstalled Office
- Ran Office Repair
- Deleted Normal.dot
- MS Office removed from Startup folder
- started word using /a (error still occurred)
- turned off auto spell check
- checked video and printer drivers
- printed document, re-scanned document, ran though HP's OCR, converted to
word doc
- Deleted Data key from registry
- Deleted Options key from registry (KB #259413)
