Winword error when trying to start Word

I have Word 2000 and up until a few days ago it worked
just fine. Now when I try to open the program I get an
error message that says.... "Winword has caused an error
in WINWORD.EXE. Winword will now close. If you continue to
experience problems try restarting your computer." I have
restarted my computer SEVERAL times, I have even
uninstalled and reinstalled Word 3 times now and I still
get the same error message. Anyone know how to fix this?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I need Word now to
print off some documents and I can't open it. HELP PLEASE!
