Winword Error

I keep getting "winword has caused an error in winword.exe. Winsord will not close" message everytime I try to get into Word. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing and nothing works. Excel and Powerpoint are fine but can't get into Word (or Works) for that matter. Can anyone give me some help, it would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I mispelled some words. "...Winword will now close" is what I meant to type. Thanks.
