winword error

I keep getting " winword error has caused an error in
GDI.exe. when trying to winfax an act document. What does
this mean and how cna I avoid this error message. Thanks

The Winfax add-in causes Word to crash. You would probably be better
off if you removed this add-in from the Word startup directory. Send
faxes from Winfax, not from Word.
