WINWORD.EXE - Application Error

I have a 150 page document with many tables and graphics.
I can get a REPEATABLE error on 3 different computers with
Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1) installed. One computer runs W2K
(SP2) and others are NT4 (SP6). Speeds vary from 1G to
2.5G and 256K to 512K RAM.

After Paging Down to the end of the document, switching to
Page Layout, I cannot Page Up to the top before
receiving "The instruction at "0x300b3050" referenced
memory at "0x0000025a". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program. Click on Cancel to
debug the program." Different computers may have slightly
different first address. My document resides on a server.

I checked Knowledge Base, but could not find specific
problem. SP2 and SP3 for Off2000 do not address this issue
either, that I could find.

Thanks...

Tom

After further analysis, I discovered my document has
a "corrupt" picture, which only shows in Page Layout view.
When displaying this picture, the WINWORD.EXE-Application
Error shows. What makes this generic error message so
troubling, is that sometimes the "WINWORD.EXE-Application
Error" window display is preceded by (1) nothing, (2) DDE
Server Window, (3) Tip Bulb, (4) Text Box, or (5) Picture.

Notice there is nothing common to point to the "corrupt"
picture.

Selecting this picture and deleting also caused the
Application Error message. So I had to copy everything
above to another document. Then copy everything below
before re-inserting the .JPG picture file...
