WINWORD.EXE deletes itself from my office folder.

WINWORD.EXE is automatically removed for office directory
after starting program. I'll start the winword.exe and
once I try and pull down the File menu bar, Winword 97,
locks up, exits and removes itself from the Office folder.

Help...

It's possible that you've been infected with Klez. One of the symptoms
is
the deletion of Winword.exe.

This article from the Symantec site contains a removal tool and
provides
information on how to determine if you are infected since it disables
your
virus scanner:
