Matt

Hi all

I have recently started receiving the Winword.exe error everytime i open a
Word doc it pops up about 5 seconds after the doc has been opened and has to
be closed.

I have browsed the forums and websites with fixes for this error but non
seem to have worked. So far i have:

Deleted the Normal.dot file
Deleted Data key from registry
Renamed the VBe6.dll file and ran Office Repair
Uninstalled and reinstalled office
Norton Anti-virus NOT installed or WinFax Pro

Anyone else any ideas i can try?

Many thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Can you be more specific? What version of Word, what version of Windows and what is the exact error message?

I have recently started receiving the Winword.exe error everytime i open a

I was going to suggest trying to run Office Repair, but I would try
un-installing all of office, re-boot, run a registry cleaner program,
re-boot and then re-install all of office.

Hipe this helps,

Registry cleaners are probably the number 2 reason for a complete wipe and reinstallation. I never use them as they are anathema.
