Winword.exe error

I have office 2000 installed in my machie(os- windows 2000
professional). It was working fine until yesterday. But
suddenly It is not woking and whenever I start the winword
I am getting an error like
"winword.exe has generated an error and will be closed by
windows. you will need to restart the program . an error
log being created". even if I restart the program i am
getting the same error.

I tried to reinstall the office 2000. still I have the
same problem. excel is working fine.

any idea!!! what could be the problem.

Please respond in the same thread on this newsgroup. Make sure you
include details of your application and Windows versions, and whether
or not you have included any service pack updates.

Thank u Mike for the Responce...
I am having Microsoft Word 2000 (9.0.2720). And there
is no service pack updates. Any other information u
require please respond in the same thread on this
newsgroup. I want this problem to fixed imediately. Please
help!!
