Winword.exe has generated errors and...

I have both Windows 2000 Pro OS with SP4 and Office 2000
with SP3 installed. I keep getting the same error while
using WinWord. "Winword.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by windows. You will need to restart the
program."

As suggested, I have uninstalled Office 2000 and
reinstalled, but still have the same problem. It is a
rather an annoying problem to say the least and I am out
of ideas.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have experienced errors primarily with SP3 installed, install Service Pack
2 only and see if the problem persist.

First try some housekeeping: follow the advice in this FAQ
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm

Make sure that you are using the latest printer and graphics drivers. Check
on the Internet support sites and download and install any newer driver. Let
us know if this fails and you need some more help.

Terry,

Thanks for your help. I have performed all of the
suggestions at the web site and installed an updated
driver.everything seems O.K. Has not crashed yet! I'll be
back if this doesn't work.
