Winword.exe has generated errors

Hello,

I have Word 2000 on a Windows 2000 machine. When I open two
particular Word files, I get "Winword.exe has generated errors" and
Word shuts down. This does not happen with other Word files.

With Word 2000 on a Windows 98 machine, the same thing happens when
trying to open these two files over the network.

The two files were recreated from scratch with a third computer and
the "bad" files were overwritten with the same file name. The problem
recurs.

What to do?

Try the recover text from any file option.
