winword.exe has generated errors

Hi,

I'm getting the following error everytime I start Word 97 whether it be a doc or a blank doc:

winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program

I've tried renaming normal.dot hacking the registry (deleting the data folder) but all to no avail. I'm running office 97 on Windows 2000 SP3.

Please help before I have no hair left to pull out!!!!

Thanks garfield... the problem was due to a network printer driver not being installed.
