WinWord.exe won't Open (Windows 98SE V4)

I've had no problems with WORD for nearly 4 years in my
Window 98SE Dell PC, but recently and 100% consistently -
Word won't open but freezes up and displays this error
message in the Details(in part):

Windows 98 Version 4.10.2222
WINWORD.EXE caused fault #c0000005 in MSO9.DLL at address
017f:30905909

I've deleted and reloaded both Word and Works programs
several times and also tried the Repair function with the
Window Works Suite - Word CD to correct this fault, but it
always reoccurs with the same detail message.

Any insights or instructions would be appreciated.
