I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 w/2.2 GHz P4 and 256MB RAM
that came with WinXP Home, which I upgraded to WinXP Pro,
version 2002. Now, when I try to configure my wireless
broadband internet connection on the system, it will not
access the internet. Further investigation found that the
remote access connection manager was not started. When I
try to start the connection manager, it tells me "Could
not start the Remote Access Connection Manager service on
Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied." All parameters
for this service are set to default, and I do have
administrative privlidges on the system. What is going on
here?
