Wire numbering possible?

Hi guys,

I need to draw some control system schmetics. I wonder if there is any way
to have Visio automatically assign a number to each wire drawn and generate
some kind of wiring chart at the end.

Visio Professional has a Process Flow Diagram template that does this. You
can find it in the Process Engineering category. Note that the report
generated will list the connectors (wires) and any properties, but it does
not include information about what is connected to what. Essentially the
report is a bill of materials.
