Wireless Desktop Receiver

The lights in the receiver just went out. Mouse still
works. Keyboard does not - new batteries installed.

Pushing the connect button gets all three lights steadily
flashing. Push connect again and lights go off. Can't
seem to get the lights to stay on so the keyboard will
work.

Any thoughts.

That's a question I used to ask myself when people posted messages about how
their computer wouldn't boot or the keyboard wouldn't work or whatever. Then
one day I couldn't access the internet. Period. Full stop. No matter what I
did, I couldn't get in. I called my ISP. Nada. I asked my friends. Ditto.
Finally I went over to a local internet cafe, connected to a microsoft
newsgroup, and in less than five minutes discovered that the problem was a
fscked up HOSTS file.

Went back home and did what they said and hey presto the problem was solved.

That's how *I* typed the message.

There are other ways.
