I would like to limit the number of users who have Visio 2003 on their
computer's on our company network.
I would like to remove the application from people's system and I hope that
Active Directory can assist me with this.
I know how to add a piece of software, I don't know how to remove it with
Group Policy in Active Directory.
I have a script that I got from the two sites:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/maintain/featusability/inmnwp.mspx
and
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;283686
The batch file I have created by referencing the two sites is below, altered
for secrecy.
\\SERVER\installs\microsoft\Office_2003\Visio_2003_old\setup.exe /x
\\SERVER\installs\microsoft\Office_2003\Visio_2003_old\VISPRO.MSI /qb
This will remove the software. WONDERFUL, but how do I get it to the people
I need with a group policy? Not everyone logs on and off nor will they want
to remove the software.
Any help?
Thank you.
