I recently downloaded the Office 2007 beta and I am getting this error
message when I log on "wksSb.exe Entry Point not found"

How do I fix this problem?

The error message is related to Microsoft Works, not Microsoft
Office.

There are known issues with the beta "breaking" Works. Believe me, you don't
want the beta if you want works to Work again without several hours of
frustration.

Hi J.,

MS Office 2007 includes some updated MS Works DLL files (about a dozen <g>) that the older versions of MS Works don't understand.
WkWbl.DLL is the main one that causes the apps and utilities such as WksSB.exe (the Works Portfolio Manager) to choke a bit.

For the current workaround to get both MS Works and Office 2007
Beta 2 working together you'll need your MS Works CD and these steps.

1. Use Start=>Programs=>Accessories=>System Tools and set a System Restore Point.

2. As with any significant change to your PC configuration such as installing and uninstalling software backup your files before
proceeding.

3. From Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control panel uninstall Microsoft Works.

4. Delete the folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\

5. Restart the PC.

6. Install Works from the CD.

Thanks Bob! I came on the site to see if anyone else had this problem and
hoping to find a fix. I didn't create a restore point when I uninstalled
previously so the problem wasn't getting fixed. Did it your way and all is
working fine now. Thank you for the help.
