WMA stops first slide of transition series

Hi
I'm using Powerpoint 2002 on XP and have a series of 40 slides set to 4
second fade transitions. I want to add a wma sound track to play for the 40
slides.

I have added the sound track and got it to begin playing on the first slide,
then stop after 40 slides ( please add a FADE-OUT perleeze!) anyway - I'm
finding that the first slide of the transition series doesn't move on to the
next slide..? But after a while I can tap the keyboard and make it move -
then the transition works and runs all the way through without problem.

It's as if the music start custom animation is over-riding the action
tranistion. I have tried swapping first slides around on the transition
series in case I'd added some thing strange by accident - but no it just
sticks on picture one - and will not let me move it on for about 10 seconds
and then I force it (by clicking) and it runs ok.

Any ideas?
Thanks Dave

Dear Dave,

Did you set the transition to automatically advance after 0:00?

Also, PPT 2002 has a Fade Smoothly transition. But if you want to fade out
at the end of the pres, you can cover the last slide with a black rectangle
then have it fade in as slowly as desired.

Double-click the sound in the custom animation task pane and set it to stop
playing after 999 slides. You can try putting just 40 in there, too.

Also make sure the sound is the first in the list in the animation pane.
(Sounds like it is, though -- no pun intended.)
