WMDC in Windows 7 Ultimate

I have installed Windows 7 Ulitmate N (32 bit version) and WMDC doesn't seem
to work. I have tried all of the following and still no success:
Restarted my HTC smartphone,
Disconnected and restarted my PC
installed windows updates
downloaded WMDC6.1 and tried to install

Whatever i try, i get an error saying that WMDC cannot be installed because
one or more components of Windows are missing. have tried to repair the
connection and still the same problem. I don't think its the smartphone, as
WMDC doesn't even start on my PC. What components of Windows could be missing
and how do i find them?

used to work fine under Windows 7 Home Premium.

chances of getting an answer to your question are very, very low. Repost
it in a newsgroup that deals with Windows; there should be a number to
choose from.
