Wobbly mouse pointer & unstable Word-Excel

I

Ian Green

I have been using SB 2007 for a number of weeks without any problems.
Today I started Word (new document) and my cursor/mouse pointer (wireless MS
Mouse) started to shake violently and my disk activity became extreme.
I closed this down and started Excel and managed to load quite a large,
multi-worksheet workbook with some large formulas. I again experienced
similar mouse/cursor activity and after strugging to read various parts of
the workbook for about ten minutes I was told Excel had experienced a problem
and my AutoRecover was being disabled. Shortly after this Excel closed down
completely.
I have run Scandisk, scanned for viruses and done two full
uninstall/installs and am still getting the problem.
Anyone got any ideas please??
Thank you,
Ian

Did you ever get a fix for your mouse problem? I have a new laptop using a Logitech VX Revolution wireless mouse and in Word the mouse pointer is a flashing circle. Are you using Norton Protection Center or any other antivirus, spyware programs?

My old laptop has the exact same programs but no mouse problem so I am trying to figure out the differences and maybe the source of the problem.
My new laptop has AMD instead of Intel and is an HP instead of Toshiba. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the triple post - the website I submited this message on had a
problem posting messages and I din't know these were going through.
But the problem still exists even after uninstalling logitech mouse. The
mouse pad gives me a busy icon whenever I enter Word. So far it is the only
software with this problem. I have an HP laptop with scanner software -
could this be the source??
