Wod 2007 Beta 2 - Print problem in normal mode, draft Ok.

Hello all. Was unsure where to report problems with Beta 2, so trying here.
Would appreciate help 'solving' it, though its no big deal for me and I am
using a workaround. Dont know if its a detected issue already.

I have a XP SP2 computer with all updates, and a HP Deskjet 932C printer.
When printing from Word, and choosing normal quality from the printer
properties, the document is scaled down and printed in 1/4th of the page. If
printing in draft quality, it is printed as expected.

This problem doesnt show with previous releases of Office 2007, or with any
other of my printers. Driver used is newest from HP.com. Printing from any
other Office 2007 application works as expected. Problem is reproducible
between reboots, with different documents and reinstallation of drivers. It
also showed on old driver versions.

A small issue, probably already detected or could be limited to my computer,
but appreciate the chance to try new software and least I can do is report
things like this.

For now, I am printing to generate a PDF document and then printing from
that, when I need to use this printer.

I am having the same problem with Word 2007 beta 2 running under Vista beta
2 with an HP 952c.

If I print with Black and White and set Quality Setting to Draft it prints
correctly.
or
If I print with Color it prints correctly with any Quality Setting.

The problem is printing with Black and White and setting the Quality Setting
to Normal or Best.

Reinstalling the driver didn't help.


Any thoughts?

I´m having the same problem... but my printer is hp 1315... Have you got
anything yet? I also dont mind testing this softwares, but i´m having some
problems to find where and who report those kind of things... If you found
something, please let me know.

I still haven't found a fix for this probelm. It is definately a Word 2007
issue. I have uninstalled Vista and reinstalled XP Home and it still happens.

Having similar printing problem with HP 6840, HP 1012, HP 3500, but not HP
5650. With the first three printers, the print comes out with only 1/4 of
the print so that most of the print is missing. It is only on the HP 5650
that the documents print out correctly in Word 2007 beta. Don't have this
problem when I use Office 2003. Printer driver is latest and so is the
software. Any suggestions?

It's a beta. It has bugs. This is one of them.

Suggestion: Wait for the Technical Refresh release (which will be "soon")
and hope it's fixed.
