won't calculate

I know enough to check under Tools/Options/Calculate and I've experimented
with automatic and manual and I can't get tasks to recalculate.

I've been able to get my tasks to calculate before but on a different
computer.

If I use the Predecessor tab in Information to create a successor, the
successor shows properly but it won't calculate. I having this problem
through-out my schedule. Sometimes it calculates and other times it doesn't .

Please advise ASAP. Thank you. Chris

Hi,

Two things may be happening, one your links are conflicting. is there an
error message in the status bar at the bottom of the screen?
Two you have dates on tasks that prevent Project moving them.
Select both tasks then press Shift+F2 to open the Task Information dialog.
Click the Advanced tab and select Type As Soon as Possible
Ok

Now see if the link moves the second task.

Try eliminating all links from and to summary tasks and see if it solves the
problem.

Hi swell estimator,

To add to Rod and Jan's excellent suggestions, I would also check
and make sure that the successor tasks don't have Actual Start
dates. View the Tracking Table and ensure that tasks do not have an
actual start.
