Word 02 - Run time error ...Method Private Profile string of object system faile

This error message comes up when I open Word 2002:
Run time error 2147467259 (80004005); method 'Private
Profile String of object' system failed.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Office 2000
SR 1 CD, but with no positive results.

Is this an operating system error (Windows ME) or a Word
installation error?
