Word 04 doc as .pdf?

Is there any way to save a Word .04 document as a .pdf file? I'm on a
Mac OS 10.6.8. I'm used to saving Word 08 in .pdf. Working on an old
04 document, tried to save it, but don't find .pdf.

I'm not familiar with a "save as PDF" function in Word, but I've
never had to look for one because Mac OS X has built-in "print to
PDF" functionality. So just use that.

The way I've been able to save as a PDF is using the Apple Print dialog.
I recall the Word's print dialog takes over the MacOS Print function,
but there's a PDF button on the bottom of Word 14 (Office 2011).

If your version doesn't have it (it's ancient, runs PPC only in Rosetta,
and won't run on MacOS 10.7), then you might setup a PDF printer.
