Word 07 crashing XP Pro

I have Word 07 on XP Pro.

When I work on some construction forms documents I purchased (made in an
earlier version of Word I assume) it will crash and restart the computer.

I have this issue with nothing else at all.

The forms are in rtf format, and have form fields in them.

Any ideas?
