Word 07: Customising Title Page/Footer Date Format

Hi, I'm trying to find out how I can modify the footers & title pages in Word
2007 to correct the american mm/dd/yyyy date format into Australian
dd/mm/yyyy format. I've set the language in regional & language options and
set the default language to English (Aust) but neither of these has worked.
I've gotten REALLY sick of manually deleting the date field putting the right
date in so I want to modify the template. Can anyone tell me where I can find
the templates, if there's modified dd/mm/yyyy format template for download or
if there's a hidden "Damnit I'm not an american so use the right bloody
date!" checkbox somewhere?

Also, whilst I'm posting is there any wasy to completely remove US english
from the office language selections? I keep trying to remove it but it keeps
coming back. I can't find anything in the options or the registry.

If you go to Header and Button "Insert Date & Time" and select Language:
Australia and then
22 July 2007 format it should remember.

Once you get your footer setup the way you want it, select it and then click
the Footer command. At the bottom of the Gallery is Save Selection To Footer
Gallery. The Gallery is alphabetical by Category, so if you want your
selection to be at the top, either use the Built In or Create an "A"
category.

Now you can use the same footer from document to document.

Excellent, thanks for the assist, I've managed to make new title pages with
the correct date format and shall do headers & footers in the next few days.

Cheers, Adrian
