Word 07/Vista: Can't do mail merge, send doc as email greyed out, VBAerror

Hi folks, as I have been unable to get email merges to work since
reinstalling Vista and Office 07 last week, I thought adding the "send
as email" button to the toolbar might work. But it's greyed out.

So then I thought I'd install a "send doc as email" macro that I'd had
on my previous installation, but I can't get it to work, either. I get
this error: http://bayimg.com/cAdbfaacA

The macro code came from this site: http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/senddocasmail.htm#Create_Macro

Also, I cannot seem to delete this VBA or the previous attempt - how
is this done?

I'd be really grateful for help - I am a total VBA newbie and just
want to be able to do a merge to email from Word.

Thank you in advance for advice,
Jo

Check the Registry settings as detailed in the Knowledge Base Article at:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918792

To delete a macro, go to the View tab and click on the Macros pulldown and
then select View Macros and the highlight the name of the macro that you
want to delete in the Macros dialog and click on the Delete button.

Alternatively, use Alt+F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor and then open the
module that contains the macro (If you followed the instructions on that
website, you will have named the module "DocAsMail" and it will be in the
Normal template. You may need to click on the + sign to the left of Normal
in the Project Explorer Window to see all of its components.

Hi Doug, thanks for replying. The registry edit didn't fix the problem
but just as I was about to uninstall and reinstall I noticed that
Office Enterprise has a repair function, which I ran, and which fixed
everything nicely.
Cheers,
Jo
